It has been a long while since I posted … and this gave me reason to get back to it. With Joan Rivers just having passed away, I am very, very sad – she was a genius, maverick, one-of-a-kind (as everyone keeps saying although I have been saying this for a very long time). Her talent was multi-faceted: the quick wit, the timing, the ability to have a come back, a retort, or a one-liner right off the top of her head, no writing, well, that was her art. But, this blog is about photography, so here is a photograph by Inez Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin that will appear in this upcoming October, 2014 issue of W. For me, this personifies her brilliance, replete with the glitz and the glamour.
